3 or 4 day 'Weekenders' based in Auckland, Christchurch or Queenstown and can include skiing or other activities.

The most common regional destinations within New Zealand are:
North Island:
* Wellington: in the far south and the countries capital is an educational place with universities, museums and huge sports centres. Often called "Windy Wellington" as it is based in a narrow harbour - also a departure point for planes and ferries to the south island.* Auckland: NZ's second biggest city on a beautiful harbour, boasting beautiful beaches, sophisticated shopping, restaurants and entertainment.
* Bay of Islands: in the far north with gorgeous sweeping bays and the cradle of New Zealands history where the Treaty of Waitangi was signed and the first parliament was formed.
* Rotorua: where you can see first hand the turbulant geological history in the bubbling mud pools, hot springs and sprouting geysers.
* Tongariro National Park: in the Central south houses three volcanic mountains, Tongariro, Ruapehu and Ngauruahoe - great for visiting all year round.
* Hawke's Bay: a landscape of rugged mountain ranges, long sandy beaches and the centre of wine country - a place to savour world class wines and fine foods
South Island
* Christchurch: the most English city outside of England, with a meandering Avon River and gorgeous churches and cathedrals A lovely place to start your adventure* The West Coast: a wild place of rivers and rainforests, glaciers and geological treasures. Home of Franz Josef and Fox Glaciers, giant rivers of ice sqeezing towards the sea. Hokatika and Greymouth are also worth visiting to see greenstone carvers at work.
* Fiordland: one of the most dramatic parts of New Zealand and a World Heritage Site including beautiful Milford Sound, Dusky and Doubtful Sounds. See cascading waterfalls falling hundreds of meters into deep black fiords where ancient rainforests and shimmering lakes are surrounded by giant granite peaks.
* Dunedin, Otago and the South: Full of Victorian buildings, historic precincts, and beautiful parks that you can enjoy while tasting malt whisky and german traditional breads. The wildlife on the Otago Peninsular is also spectacular.
* Queenstown: an adventure lovers paradise. For skiiers and snowboarders in winter or bungy jumping and jetboating in summer, do not miss a visit to this vibrant town nestled beneath the towering Remarkable Mountains.
